"I got motivated to act on something I've been wanting to do for a long time and that alone made this session worthwhile... There were moments when people shared their stories that helped me to reflect on my own perspectives."

"I really enjoyed the connection with other women, being able to discuss and be vulnerable allowed me to feel less alone. I appreciated the small group and that everyone was encouraged to share and be so respectful of each other."

What They're Saying:

Have questions? We have answers!

This is a unique community and experience, unlike anything else you've seen. so here are some things you may be wondering:

Who can join The XO Community?

Although The XO Community is for women and women-identifying people only, we’re very inclusive. Our members come from all walks of life with diverse cultural backgrounds, job profiles and family profiles – and every single one of them is generous, supportive, encouraging and growth-oriented. This is a non-negotiable.

What can I expect from The XO Community?

Our mission with The XO Community is two-fold:
(1) To help women get more out of life; and (2) to create a supportive, encouraging community that everyone feels welcome in.

You can expect to walk away from our events and socials feeling uplifted, inspired, empowered and positive.

why do i have to pay extra for some activities?

The simple answer to this is that some activities require an expert, external instructor (who, of course, needs to charge for their time) and some activities, like the intensive workshops Rishma runs, involve a lot of work, time and expertise to put them together. None of these activities are required but they do give you the opportunity to attend events, learn skills and gain an insight into different areas of expertise that you might not get the chance to otherwise.

i'd love to run a workshop for the XO community - Is this possible?

We love to hear from members and learn from each other, and we’re very open to considering any topic or concept if there is interest from the other members. What we do not accept are any kind of sales presentations. Everything we do in The XO Community comes from a place of sharing and giving, and we appreciate your understanding of this.

I don't live in canada - can i still join?

In a word, yes! Most of our events are virtual which means you can attend no matter where in the world you are. Some of the in-person events are local to the Greater Toronto Area but the XO Epics take place all over the world meaning they are open to any member who wishes to attend.

In terms of timing, we do schedule events at different times of the day to hopefully suit multiple different time zones. We have some in the morning, afternoon and evenings (EST). We’re also always open to specific time/day of the week requests from members.

why do i have to apply to join?

We’re cultivating a community of growth-minded women. Women who are kind, supportive and down for inspiring those around them. Although we’re not exclusive – we do have a responsibility to our community to make sure that each and every member shares our values. This is why joining The XO Community is by application only.

I ran a thriving healthcare practice as a Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist for over 20 years focusing on hormone health and fertility. I also earned my PhD and spent time in academic research and teaching positions. Now, I enjoy reading scientific studies for the purpose of using the insights to help me, and our community, get the most out of life.

I created XO Living as a way of cultivating a supportive community of growth-minded women who want to develop meaningful connections, with themselves and others, while having memorable experiences.

I was inspired to create XO Living after I embarked upon my own journey of self-(re)discovery and realized that there must be other women out there like her who want more from life, too.

"It took me a long time to realize that when I prioritize myself, everything else thrives."
